 A number of low cost and scheduled airlines serve the Costa Calida flying into Alicante and Murcia San Javier airports. With the proposed opening of Murcia Corvera airport this will give a greater choice to travellers. Almeria airport is another option and is within easy travelling time of the bay of Mazarron, the journey time is approximately 75 minutes.
Alicante airport is 90 minutes drive from the Bay of Mazarron; Murcia San Javier airport is less than 45 minutes drive and the new airport at Murcia Corvera when open will be 30 minutes drive.
The Costa Calida is also accessible from the UK and northern Europe by train with train services into Murcia and Cartagena.
Plans are in the pipeline for high speed rail links to this region in the future.
For those wishing to drive there are a number of options available including the channel tunnel and a number of ferry crossings to France and Northern Spain. With the continued expansion of the motorway infrastructure in Spain, the driving time has been greatly reduced in recent years.
