1.Applying for your NIE (Foreigners identification number) We offer this as a free service to clients wishing to purchase property through us; we do not charge for this service. This is a very straight forward process which entails one accompanied visit to the national police station and one further visit by us to collect your NIE number/s
2.Applying for Residencia - from 2007 onwards European citizen living in Spain full time will not be required to apply for residencia; you will however be required to register yourself at the local police station as living in Spain full time and will be issued with a document as proof. This will be a very useful document to have in your possession, saves having to carry your passport around with you.
3.Opening a Spanish bank account - This is also a very straight forward process and we accompany you to one of the many banks locally where we are very well known and as a result get a very good service for our clients.
4.Help with your mortgage application if required. The local banks offer a variety of mortgage products to our clients and our aim is to help find the best mortgage provider for your needs. We also have links with companies in the UK who offer the services of re-mortgaging.
5.Recommendation to an English speaking Lawyer and Accountant - We work very closely with an independent firm of English speaking lawyers and accountants, who can help with everything from the advice and guidance you need when purchasing property, to drafting your wills, to completing any tax returns you will be required to make in Spain.
6.Information on the costs you are likely to incur during the buying process. Having many years experience in helping people set up their new homes in Spain, we can give you very clear guidelines in respect of the likely cost you will incur - whether it be the legal costs, the cost of electricity, water, telephone , even the hourly rate the local gardener charges!
7.Help with buying furniture, white goods, etc. Living in the area full time, we have built very strong relationships with a number of the local companies who can provide everything from white goods to good quality furniture, to bedding, crockery, cutlery, lighting and everything you might possibly need for your new home in the sun. The old ways of working still remains in Spain; those who live here all the time and are well known tend to get the better service!
